rmIT'S a game that we are looking forward to. We have played Macclesfield Town on three occasions already this season and each time it has been a real test for us. We haven't performed anywhere near what we are capable of in those three games, so it would be nice to go up there and show them what we are about and why we are top of the table.

If we put in a good performance, then we are more than capable of getting something, but we know that we are going to have to perform as Macclesfield have been in terrific form recently. Paul Ince has done a fantastic job to turn things around and they deserve all the credit that they are getting.

I was pleased with the way that we kept our discipline and stuck to the task at hand against Boston United even though we are disappointed to only get a point out of the game.

Boston were tough, aggressive and resilient, everything that I expected them to be, and defended well. We are going to have to roll our sleeves up and display similar qualities at Moss Rose because Macclesfield are also fighting for their lives but have beaten the likes of Swindon, Lincoln and Hartlepool at home as well as picking up some good away wins during their run.

We could see that they were a decent side back in September, but things just weren't happening for them back then. Now that their fortunes are improving, we know that it is going to be a tough test.

We don't want to lose that top spot. We must make sure that we keep our nerve and stay calm. The pressure of being at the top is something that we enjoy and three points at this stage of the season can make a big difference.

It is an important week for us and we need plenty of atmosphere and vocal support from our fans. We need them to give us that extra edge and lift - to be our '12th man' if you like. As long as the supporters can see that everyone is giving their all, the players deserve all the backing that they can get.

Let's work together to finish off the job that we have started.......
