Richard Money - v Peterborough United, 1/1/2007
SATURDAY'S clash with Bristol Rovers was a marvellous game of football and credit must go to both teams. Bristol Rovers were the first team in a while to come here and try to play us.
In poor conditions both sets of players gave their all, but the disappointing thing from our point of view was that we twice failed to hold onto the lead. I thought that we did just enough to shade the game, but it is unlike us to concede from set-pieces and on this occasion we were punished.
It's been a busy schedule of matches and Monday's game will be difficult, but it's been just as tough for Peterborough. Injuries and suspensions haven't allowed us to freshen things as we would have liked, but we go into the game determined to start the year on a positive note.
I would like to wish all Walsall supporters and their families a Happy New Year and thank those of you who will be making the trip to London Road on Monday, sore heads and all!
RICHARD MONEY
