HAVING had a weekend without any action, we go into Tuesday's trip to Bury knowing that it is going to be a tough game for us.

They have been in good form recently; Chris Casper has got together a very young and energetic team and we are going to have to be at our best in order to get anything out of the game.

We have several players carrying knocks, but we will delay a decision on their involvement until as late as possible. On a positive note, Anthony Gerrard has been able to rejoin the group having recovered from an ankle injury that has sidelined him for the past month or so.

It is going to be interesting to see how Scott Dann responds to the pressure of having Anthony Gerrard fit and available once more. Young Scott has done extremely well alongside Ian Roper in the heart of our back-line and this is another test for him.

I have been delighted to be able to add Pär Cederqvist to an already impressive group of strikers that we have at the club. He is unable to play until January 1st, but I think that the fact he has a month to acclimatise and get to know his team-mates will work in our favour.

Because of his goalscoring record in Norway, there was plenty of interest in him, but he was keen to try his luck in England. I think that his game is well-suited to English football; he is a tall lad who makes his presence felt and is quick off the mark.

Football in Scandanavia is similar to that over here, so I can't see him having any problems adapting to our style of play. He is a player that I know all about and had a good goalscoring record during his time with IF Osters in the Swedish League.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank in advance those of you who will be making the trip to Gigg Lane. I am sure that we can count upon your full backing and support as we look to claim another three important points to take with us into Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Swindon Town.
