Richard Money - v Accrington Stanley, 21/10/2006
THE VALUE of the squad has already been in evidence so far this season and that will continue to be the case in the weeks and months ahead.
We've got around 16 players who deserve a place in the starting line-up and this is a very nice position to be in.
I am looking forward to our game at Accrington. Everyone is genuinely pleased to see them back in The Football League and I am proud to be taking a Walsall team there for the first time in over 70 years and creating a bit of history.
They have started the season well and are a confident and hard-working outfit. We will have to go there, roll our sleeves up and be well prepared. They have a good home record over the past couple of years and this is going to be a real test for us.
I think it is fair to say that their ground is still of non-League standard and I have been making people aware of what to expect. They have already beaten Wycombe Wanderers at home this term and I watched them draw with Swindon Town recently.
It will be a different experience and we will have to be prepared mentally as much as anything else. We go into the game having only been beaten once away from home. That said we haven't performed with the same quality that we have seen at home, but if we keep working hard it will come.
I am sure we will take good travelling support with us on Saturday and I ask you all to get right behind the lads from the first whistle to the last.
RICHARD MONEY
