rmSATURDAY'S victory at Bristol Rovers came as a result of our organisation, grit and determination. We were bright and brave in the first half and although we became mentally jaded as the game wore on, it was a monumental effort to bring home three points.

Winning the game was a big hurdle for a number of reasons. Firstly, our midweek Carling Cup tie took a lot out of us and also we didn't want people to start getting paranoid about our away form, which is now very good.

It's another tough game for us this evening. We have had a busy schedule of fixtures since the start of the season and recent games have all been played at a high tempo.

This one will be no different against a Shrewsbury Town side that has had a heavy investment in their playing staff during the summer. They have recently picked up consecutive 3-0 victories away from home and will be difficult opposition.

It is a game that I am looking forward to with great relish; we'll have a large and vocal following backing us all the way and I desperately want us to put on a performance for the fans who have been excellent throughout the season so far.

The players deserve this, it's going to be a cracker-jack of a game....
