EASTER WEEKEND TEAM TALK
WITH two games in such a short space of time, this is an important period for us, but that said, every game at this stage of the season is a massive one.
Looking ahead to our trip to Leeds United, despite the hype it's just another game with three points at the end of it for the winners.
All I ask is that we go there and give them as good a game as we did here in December. Everyone will be happy if we can do that and it will make for good viewing.
It's going to be a similar game to the one at Nottingham Forest last weekend with both teams trying to play the ball on the floor. Gary McAllister certainly has a different philosophy to the previous manager and it has all the ingredients to be a terrific game.
We are proud to be live on Sky Sports and we are looking forward to it.
The challenge will be to lift the players mentally for the game against Crewe Alexandra on Monday. We need energy and atmosphere and our supporters right behind us. That is why I appeal, on behalf of the players, for you to turn up in large numbers and get right behind us from the first whistle to the last.
Crewe are as good as any team in this League away from home and I believe that they are in a false position. They are desperate for points to move themselves away from danger and are sure to bring a large following with them.
We've been in the top six for a long time; I know that we've had a tough run of fixtures recently but it is where we finish after 46 games that really counts.
It is interesting to note that we have three of our final four games at home, so our fans are going to be the ones who push us over the finishing line. You have such a key role to play and that is why it is important to have everyone pulling in the same direction.
Happy Easter to you all...
RICHARD MONEY
