I THOUGHT that we displayed all the qualities needed to win any football match on Tuesday evening at Yeovil Town.

The conditions were extremely difficult and the pitch was heavy, but we remained solid, dug deep and everyone did their jobs to come out with a well-deserved three points.

The fact that the wind dropped in the second half allowed us to get the ball down and play. We kept our shape and everyone, to a man, can be proud of their efforts and commitment to the cause.

An outstanding spirit and togetherness exists within the squad. We have some talented young players here and we've given them the faith and belief that they need. Allied to this, the experienced heads in the squad have played their part in our ongoing progression.

The players are enjoying their football at the moment and can't wait for the next game to come along. We will remain confident, committed and strong as a group and do all that we can to finish as high as possible.

We will be well tested on Saturday by a Swindon Town side who gained promotion alongside ourselves last season. They have made a solid start to life at a higher level and will come here determined to put the effort in to get some reward.

We had two tough games against them last season and I am expecting more of the same this time around.

I would like to offer a word of praise to the travelling supporters who braved the elements at Yeovil on Tuesday evening to play their part in our victory. With the games coming thick and fast, your backing is much appreciated and I hope that it will continue on Saturday.
