IT WAS a comprehensive performance in our last game against Millwall. I felt that it was always going to be a difficult match, but we played extremely well.

We've got good energy in the team and moved the ball around well. We stuck to our beliefs and that was the most important thing for me.

It sets us up nicely for the festive programme of matches, starting at Vale Park; it's nice to look at the League table right now, but that's it as there are still 25 games to go.

We might had added a goal or two in the second half, but let's hope that we are saving them for the games coming up!

I would like to think that we will take a large, vocal following with us to Vale Park. Boxing Day games always have a special atmosphere and this one will be no different. This is what I would call a 'proper' Boxing Day fixture.

Vale will be determined to kick-start their season and put on a performance in front of their own fans, but we will go there with confidence, relishing the challenge that this busy schedule of festive matches will present to us.

I will look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Oldham on Saturday before we return to home soil on New Year's Day for the visit of Doncaster Rovers.
