A PLAYER of undoubted talent and ability who has progressed well whilst coming through the ranks in recent years.
Possessing plenty of pace and skill on the ball, the one-time Charlton Athletic youngster, who hails from London, is a wide-man who is not afraid to take players on and can deliver telling crosses into the danger zone.
Made a goalscoring Football League debut at Port Vale on October 1st 2005 where his speed and skill caused many problems and his early first-team displays earned him International recognition with a call-up into the England Under-18 squad in November 2005.
In total he made 27 first-team appearances during the 2005/06 campaign, scoring twice and really announcing his arrival on The Football League stage as he picked up the Young Player of the Year award. However, he will be hoping to improve upon a disciplinary record that saw him receive two red cards.
The 2006/07 campaign saw him used cautiously as a substitute, making just one start against Wrexham as he went on to score an important winner. He also had an outing for the England Under-19s in their International Friendly against Holland here at the Banks's Stadium.
Highly-rated by the management team, he signed a new two-year contract during the summer of 2007 and The Saddlers' faithful will be looking forward to witnessing his exciting development over the course of the season ahead.
