A LOYAL one-club man, Kenny Mower joined The Saddlers as an apprentice in June 1976, from T. P. Riley School via Streetly Youth Club.

He signed professional forms in November 1978 and made his Football League debut in May 1979.

Going on to amass almost 500 senior appearances for the club, he was a regular as we won promotion out of Division Four in 1979/80 and also played in all nine games of our memorable run to the semi-finals of the Milk Cup in 1983/84.

He also helped the club achieve promotion in 1987/88, but unfortunately was forced to miss the crucial play-off games.

His last appearance for The Saddlers came in March 1991 and he went on to serve the likes of Stafford Rangers and Blakenall.

Still living locally and attending matches here at the Banks's Stadium, he turns out for the Walsall FC Veterans team when injuries allow!
