AS ALWAYS, we try to stage as many junior Cup Finals as possible on the Banks's Stadium pitch and that remains the case this year.

The window of opportunity for these games is limited this year as the pitch is being dug up on May 16th when the top inch will be totally removed and replaced by a new layer and a complete re-seeding operation will take place so that we can look forward to a completely new surface for the 2008/09 season.

This has meant that we have been unable to stage as many local games as usual, however, there are still some interesting matches.

On Tuesday, May 6th we have the Midland Football Alliance Cup Final between Coalville Town and Shifnal Town. Kick-off is 7.30pm and admission will be £5 (adults) and £2 (concessions).

Then on Wednesday, May 7th it's the Walsall Senior Cup Final between Heath Hayes and Boldmere St. Michaels. Again, this game has a 7.30pm kick-off with admission £5 (adults) and £2 (concessions).

The Buller Cup Final takes place on Monday, May 12th (kick-off 7.30pm) and this is followed on Tuesday, May 13th by the Sid Gutteridge Under-16 Cup Final between Beechdale Juniors and Handsworth United. Admission to both games will be £2 (adults) and £1 (concessions).

We would particularly like to draw your attention to a Charity Match that is arranged by our shirt sponsors, Easy Fit on Wednesday, May 14th.

An Easy Fit XI will take on a Walsall FC All-Stars team featuring the likes of Ron Green, Colin Harrison, Mark Rees, Mark Kinsella and Paul Jones.

The match will have a 7.00pm kick-off and whilst admission will be free, the purpose of the evening will be to raise funds for Golden Wishes, a local charity that sends terminally-ill youngsters on holidays of a lifetime as well as purchasing vital equipment.

There will be a collection during the game for this worthwhile local cause and we hope as many of you as possible will turn up to show your support.
