ANTHONY Gerrard and Mark Bradley have today been announced as The Saddlers' 2007/08 Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season respectively.

Gerrard, who scoops the award for the second time in just three seasons, beat off competition from Rhys Weston and Clayton Ince to win this season's top honour, which is voted for by supporters through the Walsall Football Supporters Club.

The no-nonsense defender received 59.1% of the votes with Weston bagging 19.3% and Ince picking up 8.5%. The remaining 13.1% of the votes were cast for 12 other players.
