THE SADDLERS bring the season to a close with a home game against Hartlepool United on Saturday (kick-off 3.00pm).

For Player of the Season Anthony Gerrard, it will be his 51st game of what has been a solid season in the heart of the back-line. "Everyone wants to finish the season on a high," he said. "It's been an exceptional season, but we want to take a win into the summer.

"It's only now that I can sit back and reflect on what we have achieved this year. There have been a few negatives recently, but the positives far outweigh them.

"We have some good youngsters who have emerged this year and hopefully there are more coming through.

"The fans have given us excellent backing and it will be nice to end on a high for them."
