BROWN READY TO MAKE HIS MARK
LOAN signing, Aaron Brown checked into the Banks's Stadium this morning determined to make his mark on Richard Money's side.
The imposing 24 year-old central defender has arrived from Premier League outfit, Reading. "It's nice to be back in the area and have the chance to play some games," said the one-time Tamworth man. "My aim whilst I am here is to improve my match fitness levels and do a job for Walsall as we look to secure a play-off place.
"I already know a few of the lads here and know what this club is all about. It was an easy decision when I found out about Walsall's interest on Thursday.
"It was disappointing to find myself out of action for the whole of last season through injury, but I have come back stronger both mentally and physically and I can't wait to get started."
Brown's arrival will increase the competition for places in the heart of the back-line. "Football is all about competition," he went on. "It's healthy to have that as it helps you to stay at the top of your game.
"I am relishing the challenge to break into the team and show people what I am capable of."
The new-boy has been given squad number 15 and travels with the team for our overnight stay in Southend ahead of Saturday's important game at Roots Hall.
