YOUNG striker, Alex Nicholls got his name on the scoresheet in The Saddlers' fine 3-0 win at Swindon Town.

The 20 year-old found himself in the right place at the right time to notch our third goal in the closing stages having entered the action as a second half substitute. "It's always nice to score, but the three points made it even more special," he said. "The way we are playing at the moment really bodes well for the future.

"We knew that Swindon were a decent side, but we went there with a positive attitude and knew that if we played to our maximum, we would come home with a win and so it proved.

"We did well to bounce back from having an early goal ruled out and went on to win comfortably in the end.

"As a group we are growing in confidence and belief in our ability. There is a bright future here and we will keep pushing on. We have managed to stay out of the spotlight so far and have crept up on teams, something that we will be looking to continue during the run-in."
