RISING star, Mark Bradley, is hoping to return to action at the weekend after missing the last two games with an ankle injury.

The Welsh Under-21 International burst onto the first-team scene this season and has been a key figure in the engine room of Richard Money's side.

After taking a knock during the first half of our narrow defeat at Carlisle at the turn of the month, Bradley is eager to get back involved in The Saddlers' run-in to the end of the season. "I've been working hard with the physio over the past couple of weeks," he said. "I'm getting stronger all of the time and am hopeful of being involved at Swindon on Saturday.

"At first I thought I had damaged my ligaments, but they were fine and it was diagnosed as bone bruising at the bottom of my ankle.

"Hopefully I will come back stronger and fitter. I want to push-on over the next few days and give myself a chance of getting back into action at the weekend."

Saturday's game at the County Ground will be our first taste of action for 11 days. "Having a break last weekend will have helped the lads," Bradley added. "We've had a busy schedule of matches over the past few months and the break has given us the extra rest that we maybe needed.

"We want to be able to give it a real go for the run-in ahead. No-one expected us to be in this position, but we have done well and now we really want to be involved in the play-offs.

"It's been a great season for me personally and I have played in more games than I expected. People like Darren Wrack have really helped me and I am looking forward to a positive ending."
