ANTHONY Gerrard put in another solid defensive performance in our goalless draw with Leyton Orient on Tuesday evening. "We passed the ball around very well," he said. "I thought that we were oustanding in the first half and didn't give them the ball.

"Even though we didn't get the victory that we deserved, hopefully we will take the confidence into our next game at Carlisle.

"It was nice to be able to keep another clean sheet; by keeping a clean sheet it means that you are guaranteed at least a draw and that gives us a base on which to build.

"It's one defeat in 22 games now and that record speaks for itself. We want to keeping progressing and pushing on.

"We're fourth in the table, just a point off second place, so it's a case of onwards and upwards."
