WESTON CONFIDENT
RHYS Weston has established himself as a solid and reliable performer in the right-back role during his five outings for the club so far.
The Wales International missed most of the pre-season through injury, but is now back to full fitness and enjoying life at the Banks's Stadium. "I am feeling fitter and stronger with each game," he said. "I'm not too far from my best now and I'm enjoying my football.
"The lads are all upbeat; there's a great team spirit here and everyone is extremely positive. This is going to carry us a long way in the games ahead.
"I think that it's only a matter of time before things start to click into place. The inspiring thing is that we are playing well and creating chances. It's a case of keeping together and keeping our heads.
"Consistency in football is key and aside from our results, we haven't played too badly this season.
"We'll play a lot worse than we did in our last game against Port Vale and win this season. Once more we created plenty of opportunities, particularly in the first half, and we were very unfortunate not to get the three points.
"We couldn't do much more; defensively we did well, the midfield were on top of their game and the strikers caused problems.
"We took a big step forward and we will go to Millwall in confident mood knowing that if we perform like we did against Port Vale, we will give ourselves every chance of coming home with some points reward."
