WALSALL ILLUMINATIONS
WALSALL Football Club has signed up for another year of sponsorship with the Walsall Illuminations.
Fresh from our Coca-Cola League Two title success, The Saddlers have joined forces with Walsall Council who stage the lights event.
The deal will see the football club have a dedicated Walsall FC Evening at the end of November where Saddlers' stars will be present to meet supporters, sign autographs and join in the fun.
The event will also be promoted via the Matchday Programme and around the ground.
Councillor Louise Harrison, Walsall Council cabinet member for leisure and culture, said: "We're absolutely 'over the moon' that The Saddlers have signed up for another year.
"Last year was a great year for Walsall FC and we hope that it was no coincidence that their Championship success was achieved in the same year as our fantastic light show of 2006.
"It's only with kind support from local businesses that we're able to make great strides to improve Walsall Illuminations and make it a great experience for everyone.
Saddlers' Chief Executive, Roy Whalley added: "We are delighted to once again be associated with the Walsall Illuminations. It's an event that distinguishes Walsall from other towns. Any event that puts a smile on the faces of children, offers families an exciting night out or attracts visitors into the town is to be commended and we are delighted to play our part in ensuring that the Illuminations continues to be a major success."
Tickets for the Illuminations are priced £5 (adults) and £3.50 (children). They are available by calling 0845-111 2900 or log on to www.walsall-lights.com.
